TuneIn Radio Pro lets you tune into radio stations around the world. You can favorite stations and record up to 8 hours of any station.

You can find stations based on what you want (Music, talk, sports, by language/location, recommend, local radio and podcast).

The free version (TuneIn Radio) has ads and you cannot pause. There is no real reason to buy TuneIn Radio Pro if you don’t mind ads every once in a while and no ability to pause.

It is cool if your from New York but moved to Toronto and still want to listen to New York radio on your device.

TuneIn Radio Pro is 99 cents but TuneIn Radio is free. Give TuneIn Radio a download before you pay for the pro version.

I give TuneIn Radio Pro a 7.4 out of 10.

RC Plane Review

Have you ever wanted a RC (remote control) plane or helicopter or anything RC for that matter.

Well, this app is let’s you have that experience.

It does everything a RC plane does (crash, out of range, control left and right and gas).

It is cool seeing what you can do (flips, run into things, crash different ways), and how far you can go.

It is free.

So get it. Why not? It is free and fun to play ever once in a while.

iOS 5 review

Now that iOS 5 has been out for a while. It is time for a while.

1) new notification centre, not pop ups you slide down from the top

2) iCloud let’s you backup your device to the cloud and not have to worry about syncing and back uping with a computer every couple of days just to make sure

3) Keyboard shortcuts, the “shortcut” must have at least 2 characters then you write out the phrase. It is very useful if you type out a short form of something every day and most people do not know what it means

4) Messages or iMessage, let’s you talk iDevice to iDevice. Example ipod touch to iPhone without costing the iPhone user anything on their bill

5) Newsstand, let you get and pay for magazines. the prices are not cheap some are $4 an issue

6) Reminders, you no longer need a to-do list app, it will sync with iCloud and is free unlike other to do apps (Things and OmmiFocus to name a few)

Those are the main new features with iOS 5. If you have not downloaded it and put it on your device then do so. You will need itunes 10.5.

TrollBlaster Review

It is basically a mix of Angry Birds and Crush the Castle.

It is cool to see a company make a game and try to mix it up with different things to try and knock over the troll’s.

The game is very to play and to navigate around the level map and the level.

If you like a game like Angry Birds but have beat it or want to play something different, try out TrollBlaster.

It has Game Centre achievements. It is 99 cents

RIP Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs passed away on October 5th, 2011.

Steve Jobs’ family today made the following statement regarding his death:

“Steve died peacefully today surrounded by his family.In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family. We are thankful to the many people who have shared their wishes and prayers during the last year of Steve’s illness; a website will be provided for those who wish to offer tributes and memories. We are grateful for the support and kindness of those who share our feelings for Steve.”

Apple CEO Tim Cook today sent the following email to all Apple employees:

Team,

I have some very sad news to share with all of you. Steve passed away earlier today.

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing
human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

We are planning a celebration of Steve’s extraordinary life for Apple employees that will take place soon. If you would like to share your thoughts, memories and condolences in the interim, you can simply email rememberingsteve@apple.com.

No words can adequately express our sadness at Steve’s death or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with him. We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.

Apple board member Al Gore a conference , ‘confirms’ iphone 5 in october.

Also, have you may know Tim Cook will be leading the event not Steve Jobs. As, Tim Cook is the CEO of apple.

App Review: Zombie Highway

You begin on a highway and when you drive down the highway zombies “attach” to your car and the only way to get them off is to shoot them off or slide them into a car on the highway.

The controls are dead simple. All you have to do is move your device left or right and click on the screen.

There is a tutorial when you start the game.

There are 3 settings. One is to change your high scores name. The other two are: Auto- upload scores and SoundFX Volume.

3G MacBook Pro?

That looks like a 3g macbook pro. The device was being sold on eBay and had received bids in the neighborhood of US$70,000 before Apple requested that the sale be stopped. Now Apple wants the prototype back from its current owner.

The seller was Carl Frega of North Carolina, who had purchased the unique machine from someone on Craigslist. The machine wasn’t working, so Frega sold it again on Craigslist. This owner brought the machine to an Apple Store Genius Bar. When the machine was opened up, Apple refused to repair it as they noted that almost every part inside the device was “third party” — the main logic board, optical drive, display, hard drive, and top case were all non-standard.

Apple has now contacted Frega to recover the MacBook Pro, and the fate of the machine rests in the hands of the powers-that-be in Cupertino.

Steve Jobs is no longer going to be CEO of Apple

“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties adn expectations as Apple’s CEO. I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. If the Board sees fit as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

I strongly recommended that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

Apple to Hold Media Event on September 7th, 2011?

“In previous years, Apple has updated the iPhone in the summer during WWDC, leaving the iPod to wait until this September media event. This year, however, without an iPhone upgrade at WWDC, all eyes are on this September event for the launch of the iPhone 5. Apple’s suppliers are said to begin shipments of the iPhone 5 in September but AllThingsD has suggested the iPhone 5 won’t actually be released until October. It’s not clear if that gives Apple room to pre-announce the iPhone 5 in September, or if it means Apple will let September pass by with no mention at all of the next iPhone”
